TESHIA HACKLER, LCMHC, LPC, NCC, ACS
I am a National Certified Counselor and hold dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Virginia and North Carolina. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have 20+ years of experience in the mental health field and strive to provide individuals and couples with the highest quality counseling services through compassion, knowledge, and respect.
I strive to provide my clients with the tools of proven treatment strategies to create solutions that work for your life. I collaborate with my clients to help break unhealthy patterns and remove barriers to create the life they want.
My counseling style is solution-focused, holistic, culturally attuned, and client centered. I use a combination of treatment approaches to include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, strength-based and mindfulness approaches, as well as The Gottman Method for couples.
I operate from a straight-forward, but gentle, non-judgementmental style that focuses on what you want to accomplish. Collaboratively, we will work together to develop and implement a plan that supports your personal goals, values, and creates fulfillment in your life.
In my spare time, I can be found volunteering in my local community, thrift store treasure hunting, or spending time with family.
